DRIFT

In early 2025, in collaboration with Adams Advertising, I installed my DRIFT project on 10 billboards throughout Dane County, WI. DRIFT are single word poems that act as a prologue. The intent is for these words to engage the viewer and act as a catalyst for an internal dialogue that is unique to that individual. This internal dialogue will hopefully change a moment in the lives of the viewer as they access their personal intimate thoughts and through their life experiences they create their own poem.

Other iterations of this project have been in the form of watering the word PRETEND into drought-ridden grass in Olin-Turville Park [2023], writing the word ENOUGH! in relief in the snow on a frozen lake Monona [2024] and placing organic wooden signs along hiking trails and riverways throughout Wisconsin [2014- ].

These installations work best when the mind is in a quasi-meditative state. All forms of this project are intended to be ephemeral and therefore reflect the fleeting nature of the internal dialog.
