TERRA EXTERNA
We perceive the land as being static though it is imperative we consider the constant transformative change that is occuring. Once we accept that concept, a logical extension is to consider time. Only then can we begin to acknowledge our relationship to the land and its evolution. TERRA EXTERNA is a reflection on the power of land and time, the two great unrelenting and unchallenged equalizers. These portraits represent the people that have worked the Wisconsin landscape and how both time and the land shape us equally regardless of our differences.
